Kota specializes in mid to senior level assignments within venture capital companies, including analysts, asset managers, venture capitalists, associates and partners. 

Prior to joining RGF ES, Kota worked for 4 years in mainland China and Hong Kong. He was a top performer at the Guangzhou office of a listed Japan-based recruitment firm where he received multiple awards for his achievements. He also worked at a small boutique firm based in Hong Kong as Director of Business Development and Strategy responsible for the financial and digital field within start-up companies.

Originally from Tochigi prefecture, after completing university the first few years of Kota's career was spent in sales at both a foreign capital and Japanese manufacturer in Osaka. In addition to native Japanese, Kota speaks English, Chinese and Korean. In his spare time, he enjoys playing piano and bass guitar.
