George Tarca has worked in the Philippines recruitment industry for more than 20 years. He has a solid track record in leading sales and service delivery operations for major executive search and recruitment firms and a proven ability to manage and build high-performance teams.
For the past 2.5 years, George has served as Recruitment Operations Manager at Manila Recruitment, a specialist boutique firm in Manila focused on headhunting. With full responsibility for the recruitment process and the implementation of recruitment innovations, George co-managed the business along with the CEO/Founder and has doubled the size of the team and the revenues. His nickname at the firm was the ”Candidate Whisperer” for his ability to manage the expectations of challenging candidates.
George’s recruitment experience encompasses the client side as well. He spent 4 years in an internal talent acquisition role as Recruitment & Employee Relations Manager for Emerson Process Management, a US-headquartered supplier of process management products and solutions.
He has also previously held a management position in a top global recruitment firm. Prior to Emerson, he served for over 2 years as Director of Manpower’s Executive Search division in the Philippines, where he managed both revenue and gross profit targets for the division.
George also held senior roles at Asia Select (an affiliate of Signium Ward Howell), I-Search, and Avanti Partnership. Before he started his career in recruitment, George worked as an Analyst & Stock Market Trader at Sun Hung Kai Securities for 5 years.
George holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics from De La Salle University in Manila.
In his spare time, he enjoys competing in triathlons and mountaineering.
