A confidential global IT-related company with a strong international presence is seeking a Regional HR Manager to oversee HR operations for Japan and Korea. The company is in a rapid-growth phase and maintains a culture that values collaboration, flexibility, and strong business partnership.
This role serves as the primary HR representative in Japan, supporting a mid-sized organization and partnering closely with senior leadership across the region.
仕事内容
This position will lead all HR activities for Japan and Korea, overseeing day-to-day HR general functions and acting as the main HR partner for local leadership. The role covers approximately 40 employees in Japan and a small team in Korea.
Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as the sole HR contact for Japan, supporting all HR cycles and employee matters
• Providing HRBP support, especially partnering with the Sales organization
• Managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, L&D coordination, and HR operations
• Ensuring smooth implementation of regional HR guidelines and policies
• Supporting local managers through coaching, communication, and organizational development
• Coordinating with regional HR teams and Centers of Excellence for policy alignment and shared initiatives
• Handling monthly HR cycles, reporting, and tracking activities related to organizational performance
This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable operating independently while aligning with broader regional HR frameworks.
応募資格
• Fluent Japanese and business-level English
• Strong HR generalist background covering recruitment, ER, performance, operations, and communication
• Ability to work independently as the main HR contact for the country
• Experience partnering with Sales or commercial teams is preferred
• Capability to balance local needs with regional expectations
• Adaptability to a fast-moving environment and comfort with hands-on HR tasks
• Willingness to learn and manage processes for both Japan and Korea (Payroll is outsourced, prior experience not required)
