The VP of PMO’s role is to create, implement and oversee our company’s design, engineering implementation and on-time delivery, to ensure a world-class customer experience for our mobile network operator customers. Post delivery, the role is responsible for the management of the company’s operational and maintenance processes to ensure high service availability is maintained.
The VP of PMO will optimize our company's operating and delivery capabilities, employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, and manage new process initiatives, all within the company's delivery budget.
・Assist the executive team in creating, growing, and building a first-class, industry-leading digital infrastructure company.
・The primary responsibility of the VP of PMO is to ensure that complex, large-scale cell site projects are managed efficiently from receipt of customer order to completion for customer equipment installation. This involves overseeing project managers, engineers, and skilled teams including site acquisition and permitting, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards within budget.
・Effective allocation of expert resources, both human and material, for project success. He or she must have a deep understanding of team members’ skills and expertise to match them with the right cell site projects. This involves balancing workload, skill sets, and project requirements.
・Building and maintaining strong MNO customer relationships is a key aspect of the role. He or she will often serve as a liaison between the MNO customer and the delivery team, ensuring that MNO customer expectations are met and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during each delivery project.
・Identify and mitigate risks inherent to the management of complex cell site delivery. He/she must have a keen eye for potential risks that could impact project timelines or deliverables. Implementing risk management strategies and contingency plans is essential to navigate uncertainties effectively.
・Maintain a high standard of quality in project deliverables. He or she must be able to implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure that all cell site installations meet or exceed MNO customer expectations.
・Work with the executive team to forge strategic partnerships and relationships with customers, indirect channels, vendors, deployment partners, and all other professional business relationships.
・Together with the procurement team, develop strong relationships with vendors and deployment partners to ensure effective processes are implemented, to deliver projects on time with optimized costs.
・Create new joint business opportunities including the indirect channels sales team maximizing revenue opportunities and the site acquisition team harnessing all property owner introductions.
・Work with the executive team to foster a growth-oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
・Implement industry-leading performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking large-scale cell site installations as well as cell site operations and maintenance. He or she must oversee the creation and analysis of reports that provide insights into project performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
・Continuously improve delivery processes for staying competitive and meeting evolving MNO customer needs. He or she must be able to identify areas for process optimization and cost optimization and work collaboratively with internal and external teams to implement improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery.
・The VP of PMO must be able to balance meeting MNO customer expectations, managing internal and third-party resources, and ensuring the team’s well-being.
・Set challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance, cost management, cost optimization, and profitability within the VP of PMO’s areas of responsibility.
・Previous experience delivering and managing complex wireless network infrastructure at scale.
・Previous experience in site acquisition, permitting, construction and deployment of wireless infrastructure deployment.
・Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, for effective MNO client interactions.
・Proven ability to analyse complex MNO customer challenges and design creative, effective delivery solutions in conjunction with MNO customers that align with their business goals.
Education:
・Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in civil, electronic, technical or telecommunications engineering, technical science, computer technology or related field with a minimum of 15 years’ experience working for a mobile operator, virtual mobile operator, vendor of telecommunications equipment or MNO infrastructure deployment partner as head of complex delivery.
