Job Description

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve company goals and initiatives in Japan.
o Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
o Set ambitious sales targets and motivate the team to achieve them.

2. Team Leadership:
o Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
o Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance team performance.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

3. Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
o Understand customer needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
o Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

4. Sales Operations:
o Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities.
o Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
o Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales performance and market trends.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with marketing, PM center, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
o Coordinate with global sales teams to leverage best practices and drive global sales initiatives.

Requirements

1. Masters or PhD in biological science or a related discipline
2. Proven track record of success in sales management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar management role.
3. Solid business, planning, budget management acumen, and high business analytical capability to optimize business decisions
4. Knowledge of the Biological and CRO market trend and customer dynamics in Japan with an emphasis on one or more of the following: Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, BioAssay, Antibody or Cell Line, Products, and Services
5. Well skilled in strategic thinking and business strategy executions with proven successful record in business management.
6. Be capable of working productively and collaboratively with both internal partners and external collaborators
7. Record of attracting and developing strong talent both internally and externally. Proven ability to grow and develop others.
8. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
9. Able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills in both English/Chinese and Japanese
