Lead the development and the execution of the communications and patient advocacy strategy within therapeutic areas, ensuring launch excellence through brand and priority brand activities and in market performance of communications and patient advocacy team. Using real-time insight generation on key external stakeholders and the external environment to support iterative execution of the strategic plan.
• Develop, drive, and implement Therapy area(TA) and product comms and patient advocacy strategy for respective priority brands, focused on identified priority pre-launch, launch and in market brands.
• Manage transition of pipeline assets for the respective TA from R&D communications and Development Patient Engagement to TA, including strategy implementation.
• Exemplifies a predictive mindset; seeks multidirectional insights to understand our environments and stakeholders, and embraces iterative, measurable experimentation and action.
• Ensure implementation of Communications and Patient Advocacy strategy for respective brand/s with relevant internal and external stakeholders and supporting implementation.
• Implementation of Objectives/Goals/Strategies/Measures framework, KPIs and Analytics & Insight measures to consistently monitor and predict product performance management in alignment with International CA Strategy and Japan business objectives.
• Strategic counsel and best practice sharing across communications & patient advocacy team, including, insights, measurement and execution learnings.
• Manage relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
• Implement launch excellence in line with country organization for respective brands and ensure strategic planning for all activities in line with business and function processes.
• Represent function on relevant brand teams and become trusted strategic business partner to Brand Lead. Providing counsel on latest communications channels/trends and opportunities to utilize communications and patient advocacy to contribute to the achievement of business goals and objectives including advice, guidance and input to key business decisions, sharing accountability for promoting and protecting the company reputation.
• Accountability for budget of respective brands comms and patient advocacy strategies. Including governance and compliance of Patient Advocacy grants, sponsorships and reporting.
• Focus on enabling and managing product brand performance of product communications and patient advocacy.
• Implementation of media relations strategy for TA.
• Implement influencer engagement strategy for respective TA.
• Strong partnership with Policy/ Public Affairs for respective TA to support TA/brand policy, strategies, and tactics.
• TA/product brand issues and crisis management for TA
• Collaboration with Corporate/Internal communications for key brand milestones and launch activities.
• Implementation of agency strategy for TA.
Education: • Degree level
Experience: • 10+ years diversified communications & patient advocacy.
